Java back!!!

Postby davidearls » Tue Apr 18, 2017 7:56 pm

I am SO glad to see this appear!!!

Those of us who blend espressos - by different beans roasted to different levels - have to appreciate this one. When I last ordered beans for espresso blending, there was, alas! NO Java available. Don't get me wrong, I dearly love my Sumatras, but Sumatras rarely offer the simple, straightforward choclatey, heavy-bodied character that a Java offers. When your blend consists of beans/roasts that you wouldn't favor drinking as singles - which my blend does - a perfumey, slightly less full-bodied Sumatra doesn't substitute effectively for a straightforward Java. And we "blenders" long ago abandoned very bland Brazils as a "base." Each bean and roast must contribute to the overall character of the blend.

Don't have the beans yet - just ordered them - but I am so HAPPY to be able to restore Java to my blend. Mentally, I am THERE! Thx, Tom.
